The Iloilo Police Provincial Office (IPPO) recorded the largest drug haul, recovering 5,085 grams of suspected shabu and arresting 60 suspects. The Regional Police Drug Enforcement Unit-6 (RPDEU-6) followed with the seizure of 4,000 grams of shabu and the arrest of 13 individuals.
The Iloilo City Police Office (ICPO) likewise posted substantial gains, confiscating 1,691 grams of illegal drugs and apprehending 66 suspects. Other police units across the region also contributed to the sustained anti-drug campaign.
PRO-6 attributed the success of the operations to strengthened intelligence gathering, extensive surveillance, thorough case build-up, close coordination with partner agencies, and information provided by community informants.
Police Brig. Gen. Randulf Tuaño, acting regional director of PRO-6, commended the dedication of police operatives in disrupting illegal drug activities across the region.
“PRO-6 will not allow illegal drugs to destroy our communities. We will continue to pursue drug personalities, dismantle their networks, and sustain intelligence-driven operations to protect the people of Western Visayas,” Tuaño said./coa
