LUCENA CITY — The provincial government of Quezon, including the 15 public hospitals under the Quezon Provincial Hospital Network (QPHN), has been recognized by the Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency (PDEA) and the Dangerous Drugs Board (DDB) as “drug-free workplaces.”
Gov. Angelina Tan, a physician, said the recognition reflects the provincial government’s commitment to maintaining a safe, healthy, and productive working environment in the delivery of public services.
“This recognition is a testament to our continuing commitment to promoting a safe and productive workplace so that we can better serve our fellow Quezonians,” Tan said in a statement posted on her Facebook page following the awarding ceremony held Monday at the Quezon Convention Center.

The award recognizes the provincial government’s compliance with and active implementation of DDB Board Regulation No. 13, Series of 2018, which mandates the adoption of Drug-Free Workplace policies across government offices.
In a separate statement, the provincial government said the recognition affirms its unwavering commitment to fostering a safe, orderly, and disciplined work environment for all government employees.
“It is also the result of our collective efforts to uphold integrity, professionalism, and dedication in public service for every Quezonian,” the statement added.
The “drug-free workplace” status was attained through compliance with stringent program requirements, including mandatory and random drug testing of officials and employees.
