
CALAPAN CITY, Oriental Mindoro — Authorities arrested Oriental Mindoro’s top provincial most wanted person during a joint manhunt operation in Barangay Zone 1, Pinamalayan town, on Monday.
The suspect, a 32-year-old fast-food restaurant supervisor from Puerto Galera, was apprehended by operatives of the Criminal Investigation and Detection Group (CIDG) Oriental Mindoro Provincial Field Unit, which led the operation.

The arrest was carried out through coordinated efforts with the Pinamalayan Municipal Police Station, the 2nd Provincial Mobile Force Company of the Oriental Mindoro Police Provincial Office, the 403rd Maneuver Company of the Regional Mobile Force Battalion (RMFB) 4B, the Provincial Intelligence Team of Oriental Mindoro, the Regional Intelligence Unit 4B, and the Technical Support Company of RMFB 4B.
Police said the suspect was arrested based on warrants issued by the court for alleged violation of Section 5(1) of Republic Act No. 9262, or the Anti-Violence Against Women and Their Children Act, under Criminal Case No. CR-26-17883, with recommended bail set at P72,000.
He also faces a separate charge of concubinage under Article 334 of the Revised Penal Code, docketed as Criminal Case No. CR-26-4889, with recommended bail fixed at P30,000.
The arrested individual is now under the custody of the CIDG Oriental Mindoro Provincial Field Unit pending further legal proceedings./coa
