Sam Verzosa denies Rhian Ramos' issue vs driver was reason for their split

Sam Verzosa denied that the legal controversy between his ex-girlfriend Rhian Ramos and her former driver had anything to do with the end of their relationship.

During his guest appearance on “Fast Talk with Boy Abunda” on Monday, June 22, Verzosa said the issue surfaced only after he and Ramos had already parted ways.

“It all happened wala na po kami ni Rhian. Wala talaga ’kong firsthand information regarding that case and mahirap magdagdag ng kahit ano na wala naman ako ’don. Tapos na po kami,” he said.

Verzosa reiterated that the controversy was not the reason behind their breakup amid allegations that he was among the subjects of private photographs allegedly contained in a missing angpao that was at the center of the dispute.

“Wala po ako dun [sa photographs],” he said. “Walang [kinalaman ‘yung case sa breakup].”

His remarks came after Boy Evangelista of the Volunteers Against Crime and Corruption (VACC) claimed in an interview that Ramos was upset with her former driver, known as “Totoy,” because he allegedly remained connected with Verzosa and shared information with him.

Verzosa declined to comment further, citing the ongoing nature of the case.

“I don’t know what is the right thing to say Tito Boy, kasi it’s already an ongoing case. It’s being handled by the people involved and the right authorities so parang ang hirap naman magdagdag ng kahit anong noise or kahit ano pang mag-fu-fuel sa kaso,” he said.

The businessman, however, admitted knowing the former driver through Ramos.

“Of course before na meet ko ‘yan. He was the driver of Rhian for so many years. Natulungan ko rin ’yan,” he said, noting that they had exchanged text messages in the past, although not in connection with the controversy.

In January, Ramos’ driver filed a complaint before the National Bureau of Investigation against Ramos, beauty queens Michelle Dee and Samantha Panlilio, two of Dee’s bodyguards.

The complainant alleged that he was locked inside a room and physically assaulted after being accused of stealing an angpao containing private photographs. He was later indicted for theft by the Makati Prosecutor’s Office.

Meanwhile, Ramos confirmed in March that she and Verzosa had been separated since October 2025. She also denied speculation that content creator Wil Dasovich played a role in their breakup.

The former couple confirmed their relationship during the GMA Gala in 2022. Rumors of their split surfaced in December 2025 after netizens noticed that they had unfollowed each other on Instagram.

Meanwhile, Verzosa also clarified that he’s friends with Faith de Silva and Kyline Alcantara amid the rumors that he was dating both the actresses. /ra
