
BAGUIO CITY — A motorcycle rider died after sustaining severe head injuries when his vehicle fell into a pit in the early hours of Tuesday in Tuba, Benguet.
The victim, 29, a native of Bokod, Benguet, was residing in Camp 4, Tuba.
Police said a construction worker discovered the rider and his motorcycle at the site. Personnel from the Tuba Municipal Police Station, Municipal Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Office (MDRRMO), and Bureau of Fire Protection (BFP) responded and found the victim unconscious.

Workers in the area reported hearing a loud crashing sound during the night but did not immediately investigate, unaware that a motorcycle had fallen into the pit.
Investigators said the victim was wearing a helmet at the time of the incident but may have struck large rocks during the fall, resulting in fatal head injuries.
His remains were brought to his residence in Camp 4, Tuba./coa
