
A diver was rushed to hospital after encountering difficulty while diving at Ċirkewwa earlier today.
Police told the newsroom, the diver was brought out of the water by fellow divers after encountering problems during the dive.
In a fortunate turn of events, two doctors happened to be at the scene and immediately began administering CPR.
The doctors successfully managed to restore the diver’s pulse and continued providing emergency assistance until a medical team from Mater Dei Hospital arrived on site by ambulance.
The diver was then transferred to hospital for further treatment.
Police were informed of the incident and investigations are ongoing.
No further details about the diver’s condition have yet been released.
