Ministry of Industry views Indonesia’s participation as a partner country at INNOPROM 2026 as strategic opportunity to strengthen national market access in the Eurasian region and allow the expansion of industrial, investment, and trade cooperation with Russia.
Minister of Industry Agus Gumiwang Kartasasmita, in a statement received here on Tuesday, said the participation at the Russia's largest industrial exhibition represents a valuable opportunity to elevate relationship between the two countries.
"This is a momentum for Indonesia to expand industrial cooperation and establish partnerships that provide tangible benefits for both countries," Kartasasmita said.

On Wednesday (June 17), he held a meeting with the Ambassador of Russian Federation to Indonesia Sergei Gennadievich Tolchenov and the Russian Federation’s Trade Representative in Indonesia Alexander Masaltsev.
The meeting discussed various preparations for INNOPROM 2026, which will take place in Yekaterinburg, Russia, on July 6-9.
The two sides also explored opportunities to strengthen industrial cooperation, including plans to sign a memorandum of understanding (MoU) that is expected to serve as an umbrella for future collaborative programmes.

Indonesia and Russia then agreed to accelerate the implementation of two MoU signed in December 2025, consisting of cooperation in the shipping industry and scientific studies on the safe use of chrysotile asbestos.
In the INNOPROM 2026 event, Indonesia will bring approximately 50 companies from various strategic industrial, ranging from food and beverages, machinery, electronics, furniture, the digital industry, green energy, and export-oriented manufacturing.
They are expected to open up business cooperation opportunities, attract new investment, and expand Indonesia's market access in Russia and the Eurasian region.

Furthermore, Indonesia will also conduct several business forums and panel discussions on potential sectors, such as palm oil, petrochemicals, shipping, aluminum, and industrial estates.
The forums are expected to accommodate business actors and stakeholders from both countries to exchange ideas and explore new collaboration opportunities.
"We are confident that close cooperation between Indonesia and Russia will yield tangible benefits for both countries. At INNOPROM 2026, we aim to realize more opportunities for investment, trade, technology transfer, and industrial partnerships to support sustainable industrial growth," Kartasasmita noted.
