Chiefs Coach Andy Reid Teases Travis Kelce, Taylor Swift Wedding Gift

Andy Reid knew it, he knew exactly what to get Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce for their wedding.

Ahead of the Kansas City Chiefs tight end and the Grammy winner officially tying the knot, Travis' coach jokingly revealed what he’s getting the couple.

"I’m going to give Travis a couple throws,” Reid told KSHB 41 in an interview published June 22, “Just a couple of new routes. He’ll be as happy as can be.”

As rumors continue to fly about Swift and Kelce’s upcoming nuptials, the NFL star and “Opalite” singer have continued to step out, including at Kelce’s Tight End University event in Nashville June 22.

Meanwhile, the duo’s outing was a reunion of sorts, as Kelce spent the weekend with his pals in California attending a Chris Lake concert in Los Angeles, as well as a NASCAR event in San Diego. Joining Kelce on his weekend of fun was his brother Jason Kelce, teammate Patrick Mahomes as well as Swift’s brother Austin Swift.

And as anticipation grows for the couple’s eventual wedding ceremony, Kelce’s coach has also pushed back on the narrative that his engagement has been distracting as he prepares for his 14th season with the Chiefs.

“Listen, he has been here most of the offseason, if not the whole offseason, he’s been around,” Reid said during a press conference earlier this month. “It is good to have him here. He did the mandatory camp and did a nice job there, so, good to have him back in and rolling. He’s very excited.”

Indeed, Reid assured he hadn’t noticed any “distractions” affecting the tight end.

“It’s like when I got married, my wife did everything,” Reid noted, “I just kind of followed her lead on it. Showed up, right? So, maybe he’s doing more, but it looks like he’s pretty focused in on this job, too.”

But like the other people in Kelce and Swift’s inner circle, Reid couldn’t give too much away about the upcoming wedding itself. As he added to reporters with a coy smile, “Can’t talk about it.”
