Released Iranian assets to be used for buying US food, drugs — Trump

The US president specified that foods will include "corn, wheat and soybeans"

WASHINGTON, June 23. /TASS/. Released Iranian assets will be used exclusively to buy agricultural produce and medications from the US, President Donald Trump said.

"The Money and/or Sanctions that the U.S. Treasury is releasing goes into escrow, controlled by the U.S.A., and will be used for the purchase of food and medical supplies, exclusively from the United States," Trump wrote on his page in Truth Social.

Foods will include "corn, wheat and soybeans" from US farmers, he added.
