Jenny Mollen Says Jason Biggs Relationship Is “Still Romantic” After Breakup
Relationships evolve over time.
And no one understands this more deeply than Jenny Mollen, who recently reflected on her breakup from Jason Biggs after almost two decades of marriage.
“It's still, like, romantic,” Mollen said of her relationship to Biggs during an appearance on the Not Skinny But Not Fat podcast. “I mean I still we still love each other. It's just not, I don't know. It's a different type of romance. It's like your best friend.”
After all, the former couple’s ties run deep. Not only were they married for 18 years, but they also share kids Sid, 12, and Lazlo, 8.
“We live in two different places but we’re still tethered,” Mollen explained. “We have kids, like, we still talk 18 times a day about everyone's schedule and after school and holidays. So, there is like this element of—like it isn't a normal breakup where you're like, ‘See you,’ and then maybe we'll bump into each other in 10 years and talk about it. It’s not like that.”
The 47-year-old also shared insight into what it’s been like navigating her split in the public eye, having been a couple that many aspired to emulate.
“That's the weirdest thing about going through something like this,” she said, confirming she’s gotten an influx of messages from heartbroken fans. “It's like somebody’s attending your wedding and you have to take care of everybody else. You’re like, ‘Are you okay? Can I get you a drink?’”
She continued, “You know, people are like, ‘I don't know how to feel. I'm so sad.’ And I'm just writing, like, ‘I don't know you, I'm so sorry. Like, I'm sorry for your loss.’”

But at the end of the day, Mollen understands why the public may be sad about the breakup, and she wants to assure fans that the relationship she and Biggs shared was and is exactly what they’d hoped.
“We love each other and like it is a solid relationship,” she said. “We have always been amazing co-parents and teammates.”
And indeed, her comments echo the sentiment that was shared when her breakup with Biggs was confirmed in May. At the time, a rep for the former couple confirmed that the pair remained on “great terms” and were focused on co-parenting their kids.
Yet, Mollen admitted during her podcast appearance that the breakup still feels “surreal.”
“People will be like, ‘Oh, how does it feel?’” she explained. “And I'm like, ‘I don't know.’ Like, the same.”
