Tiger Woods Returns to Social Media After DUI Arrest to Honor Late Dad Earl Woods
Bode Miller is facing legal trouble.
The former Olympic skier was arrested June 6 in Idaho and later charged with possession of a controlled substance and use or possession with intent to use drug paraphernalia, according to documents obtained by E! News.
Following his arrest, Miller posted bail for $5,000 and later pleaded not guilty to his two charges. After an arraignment on June 17, the 48-year-old is due back in court for a pre-trial hearing July 29.
E! News has reached out to Miller’s attorney regarding his charges but has not yet heard back.
During his time as an alpine skier, Miller took home six Olympic gold medals as well as multiple World Cup championships. The athlete became one of the most decorated alpine skiers of all time by his 2017 retirement, and was inducted into the US Ski and Snowboard Hall of Fame two years later.
After his retirement, Miller has been focused on life with his and wife Morgan Beck Miller’s eight children. The couple share Nash, 10, Easton, 7, twins Asher and Askel, both 6, Scarlet, 4, as well as Bode’s kids Dace, 18 and Nate, 12, from prior relationships.
The couple also shared daughter Emeline, who died in 2018 at just 19 months old after drowning in a neighbor’s swimming pool.
Since Emeline’s death, Miller and Beck have become advocates for children’s water safety education and appeared on the Today show in May to raise awareness.
“It can be an uncomfortable topic,” Miller said during he and his wife’s appearance, “and a lot of people avoid it but we’re really trying to bring that to the forefront.”

Following their daughter’s accident, Miller and Beck shared they focused on giving their children agency in the water.
“The rule in our house is, if you can crawl you must be able to float,” Beck explained. “If you walk, you must be able to swim.”
Shortly after their toddler’s death, Miller emphasized why he and his wife turned to advocacy amid their grieving.
“At the end of the day, what happened to us is horrible for us,” he said during an appearance on CBS Mornings in 2018, “and I think a lot of people shared our pain in that—but we want to try to not make it happen to other people.”
