NZ users affected as Facebook, Instagram experience outage

Facebook and Instagram experienced a worldwide outage on Wednesday morning

Reports on DownDetector show a huge spike, with more than 900 reports of problems at around 9.46am New Zealand time.

Users said they were unable to load any pages on the Meta-owned site.

DownDetector also showed a small spike in WhatsApp users unable to use the app at the same time.

The social media sevices resumed to normal after about 16 minutes.
