
TACLOBAN CITY — Vice President Sara Duterte paid her respects early on Wednesday to the three students slain in the shooting incident inside the San Jose National High School here on Monday.
Some 20 other students were injured due to the gun attack by two minor suspects.

One of the suspects, aged 15, has been charged with three counts of murder, three counts of frustrated murder, and multiple counts of serious physical injuries.

Duterte is the latest official to visit the wakes of the slain students Joyancee Separa,15, Nicole Daza,14, and Chris Lorenz Fabian,15, who offered his life to save his classmates while one of the gunmen fired at them.
Leyte 1st District Rep. Martin Romualdez also visited the grieving families of slain students and checked on the conditions of the injured. /coa
