In short:
Queensland police say they believe a shooting at a popular Townsville gym and a suspicious fire at a supplement store are linked.
Video of the two incidents, which happened in February, has been released as detectives appeal for more information.
What's next?
Anyone with relevant information or video is urged to contact Queensland police or CrimeStoppers.
Queensland detectives have released video as they investigate a group that set a Townsville supplement store on fire before firing bullets into a popular nearby gym earlier this year.
Police were called to the fire and the shooting in the early morning of February 9.
Townsville Criminal Investigation Branch (CIB) officer Detective Inspector Dave Barron said on Wednesday the incidents, as well as a car fire that happened later that same morning, were "obviously linked".
Video released by the CIB shows a ute reversing into the Gym N Juice supplement store doors before a hooded person enters and sets the building alight.
Another clip shows the same ute arriving at the One Million Strong gym before another hooded person exits the vehicle and shoots at the business, which is next to a busy road.
Also included in the released images are photos of masked men armed with large guns at a home in the Townsville suburb of Yabulu in September 2025.
Police said offenders forced entry to a Purono Parkway home at Yabulu "which resulted in shots being fired".
Detective Inspector Barron said police had established tangible links between the home invasion and the incidents at the Townsville businesses.
Multiple suspects
Detective Inspector Barron said police had multiple suspects.
"For these matters, there have been no arrests, we have multiple persons of interest who we are investigating," he said.
"There are definite lines of inquiry that we are pursuing.
"Adequate resources have been placed in the investigation centre for these investigations to be completed."
Detective Inspector Barron said there was no threat to the community and urged anyone with information to contact CrimeStoppers on 1800 333 000.
"It is timely to make an appeal to the community for anyone with information to provide it to us."
Police said no-one was injured in the shop fire, gym shooting, car fire or home invasion.
