Jakarta (ANTARA) - President Prabowo Subianto received the Adhi Bhakti Tani Nelayan Maha Utama Gold Badge, the highest honor awarded by the National Farmers and Fishermen Association (KTNA), during the peak event of the 17th National Farmers and Fishermen Week (PENAS) 2026 in Gorontalo.
"Honorable President Prabowo, on behalf of the Indonesian Farmers and Fishermen Association, I hereby present the Adhi Bhakti Tani Nelayan Maha Utama Gold Badge," KTNA National Chairman Yadi Sofyan Noor said in his remarks, as quoted in an official statement from the Presidential Secretariat on Wednesday.
The award was presented in recognition of Prabowo's support and the central government's various programs aimed at advancing Indonesia's agriculture and fisheries sectors.
Yadi personally pinned the Gold Badge on the President before thousands of participants attending PENAS XVII, including farmers, fishermen, agricultural extension workers, and agribusiness stakeholders from across Indonesia.
He expressed appreciation for a number of government programs that have been beneficial to Indonesian farmers and fishermen.
"We thank the government for the programs it has created. In this regard, the President has consistently supported all agricultural programs related to Indonesian farmers and fishermen," Yadi said.
He also thanked Prabowo for attending the national gathering, describing his presence as both an honor and a source of motivation for farmers and fishermen to continue working, innovating, and contributing to the development of the national agricultural sector.
"On behalf of all PENAS XVII participants, we express our highest gratitude and appreciation to the President of the Republic of Indonesia for being willing to be present among Indonesian farmers and fishermen," he said.
Following the award presentation, Prabowo continued attending a series of activities held as part of the PENAS XVII peak event at the David-Tony Sports Hall in Gorontalo District.
PENAS KTNA XVII serves as a national forum for farmers and fishermen to exchange experiences and technology, while strengthening collaboration in support of food security and the development of Indonesia's agricultural sector.
