
Deputy Prime Minister and Health Minister Ian Borg has shared a video from Gozo General Hospital as he continues visiting healthcare facilities across Malta and Gozo following his appointment to the health portfolio.
During the visit, Borg met with hospital management and healthcare workers, thanking them for their work and commitment to patient care.
He highlighted the dedication he encountered at the sister island’s hospital, saying healthcare professionals play a crucial role in safeguarding the wellbeing of the Maltese public.
Borg also reiterated his commitment to strengthening the healthcare sector as he begins work in his new role.
The visit follows similar stops at Mater Dei Hospital, St Luke’s Hospital and Karin Grech Hospital in recent days.
During those visits, Borg stressed the importance of investing in healthcare infrastructure and improving services across the country.
The newly appointed health minister has spent much of his first week in office meeting frontline workers and familiarising himself with the challenges and priorities facing Malta’s healthcare system.
