If you’ve been melting over the last few days, there’s little relief in sight.
Malta is set for another week of hot and sunny weather, with temperatures consistently hitting 34°C and 35°C and feeling even hotter thanks to the summer heat.
Today, temperatures will reach a high of 34°C, but it will feel more like 35°C. Winds will start from the west-northwest at Force 3 before shifting west later in the day, while the UV index will climb to a scorching 10.
The heat isn’t letting up on Thursday and Friday either, with highs of 34°C, lows of 23°C and a “feels like” temperature of 35°C. Light westerly and northwesterly winds between Force 2 and 3 are expected, while UV levels remain dangerously high at 9.
Things get even hotter over the weekend.
Saturday is forecast to reach 35°C with overnight temperatures staying at 24°C. The weather will remain sunny throughout the day, with northwesterly winds at Force 2 to 3 and a UV index of 10.
Sunday will bring more of the same, with temperatures again peaking at 35°C but feeling closer to 36°C. Winds will shift slightly to the north-northwest while UV levels remain at 9.
The new week will begin with no sign of cooling down.
Monday is expected to hit 35°C and feel like 36°C, with light variable winds and another UV index of 10. Tuesday will remain hot and sunny, reaching 34°C with temperatures still feeling around 36°C and overnight lows of 24°C.
With UV levels staying between 9 and 10 throughout the week, anyone spending extended periods outdoors is being urged to stay hydrated, seek shade where possible and avoid direct sun exposure during the hottest parts of the day.
Summer has officially arrived, and it’s bringing the heat.
