
MANILA, Philippines — Laguna Water, a unit of Manila Water Non-East Zone subsidiary Manila Water Philippine Ventures, has officially remitted its P82-million concession fee to the Laguna provincial government, according to a statement issued by the firm.
“This milestone highlights the company’s sustained commitment to environmental protection, proper health and sanitation, and community development,” the statement said. “It underscores the strong public-private partnership aimed at boosting local healthcare and community development.”
Laguna Gov. Sol Aragones expressed her appreciation for Laguna Water’s role in providing high-quality water services in her province.

“This concession fee will greatly help fund key provincial programs, especially those focused on strengthening our healthcare services,” Aragones said.
“Part of this will be used to procure ambulance vehicles, which will improve our emergency response and better serve our communities,” she added.

The financial remittance reflects more than a contractual obligation, the company statement said, adding: “It underscores a deeply rooted partnership between Laguna Water and the provincial government, both working toward a shared vision of improving the well-being and overall quality of life of the people of Laguna.” /atm
