About $500 mln in unfrozen Iranian assets to be allocated to US goods purchases — TV

NEW YORK, June 24. /TASS/. About $500 million in unfrozen Iranian assets will be used to purchase American goods, Fox News correspondent Trey Yingst said after a conversation with US President Donald Trump.

"President Trump tells Fox News the initial number is going to be around $500 million worth of US goods to be purchased for the Iranian people," he pointed out.

US Secretary of the Treasury Scott Bessent said earlier in an interview with CNBC that the initial money would likely be released from Qatar, with Treasury officials in Doha overseeing how the funds are allocated.
