Trump touts George Conway loss: ‘Have a nice life’

President Trump touted George Conway’s loss in a New York Democratic primary on Tuesday, taking aim at the ex-husband of his former adviser Kellyanne Conway.

George Conway has been a virulent public critic of Trump’s on social media, and had sought to use his criticism of the present as a central part of his campaign.

“Wow, Mr. Kellyanne Conway, a Trump Deranged Loser at the highest level, is getting absolutely CRUSHED in the Primaries tonight. He’ll end up at about 5% of the vote in a rather weak field of young and aggressive Communists,” Trump said in a late Tuesday post on Truth Social.

“No wonder his ‘husband’ dumped him like a dog! This is a truly unattractive person, both inside and out. Have a nice life, George!”

Conway garnered 6.07 percent of the vote in the Democratic primary for New York’s 12 Congressional District, according to Decision Desk HQ, over 30 points behind the projected winner, New York State Assemblymember Micah Lasher.

Conway launched a Democratic bid for the 12th Congressional District in January, hopping into a crowded field to represent the seat.

“We have a corrupt president, a mendacious president, a criminal president whose masked agents are disappearing people from our streets, who’s breaking international law, and he’s running our federal government like a mob protection racket,” Conway said in a ad from earlier this year.

New York’s 12th Congressional District is in New York City, the president’s hometown.

Trump took another swing at Conway in a post attacking Rep. Dan Goldman (D-N.Y.), who also lost his primary race in a New York City Congressional District.

“Even though he tried unsuccessfully to prosecute me, and despite the fact that he is a major Slimeball, I feel sorry for FORMER Congressman Dan Goldman,” Trump said in a Wednesday post on Truth Social.

“He is wandering aimlessly, together with the former husband of the great Kellyanne Conway, through a large field of Dumocrat Communists, trying so hard to find his way – A very sad finish for a man who has no clue, and never did!!!”

The Hill has reached out to Conway’s campaign for comment.
