Ombria Algarve will mark the first anniversary of the opening of its resort with a public celebration featuring live music, food, wellness experiences and outdoor entertainment.
The event, titled A Summer Invitation, will take place on Thursday, July 2 from 6pm to 11pm, offering visitors the chance to explore the luxury development in the hills north of Loulé while enjoying a programme inspired by the arrival of summer.
Open to both guests and the general public, the celebration will combine live performances, local crafts, gastronomy, a sunset pool party, stargazing experiences and an open-air screening of the musical film Mamma Mia!.
Organisers say the event has been designed around the golden hour, the period of the day just before the sun sets or after it rises, creating an opportunity to discover the resort and its surroundings during the first weeks of the summer season.
The evening will begin with live saxophone music and a market showcasing local artisans, featuring handmade jewellery, crafts and design pieces. Restaurants and cafés across the resort will also be offering visitors a chance to sample Ombria’s culinary offerings.
One of the highlights of the evening will happen at 7pm with the cutting of a specially created anniversary cake, designed by the Viceroy at Ombria Algarve hotel’s pastry team to resemble the resort’s village-style layout.
As sunset approaches, attention will shift to the Salpico pool area, where guests will be able to enjoy a DJ-led pool party accompanied by cocktails and light bites.
Visitors will also have access to several areas that are not normally open to the public. For one day only, guests will be able to climb Ombria’s iconic tower for panoramic views across the surrounding valleys and hills.
A branded residence will also be open for viewing, providing an opportunity to see firsthand the design and hospitality concept that combines private ownership with hotel services.
The resort’s recently opened Experience Centre will showcase activities and traditions linked to the Algarve’s cultural heritage, including pottery, tile painting, weaving and honey production, alongside outdoor experiences such as horse riding and buggy tours.
Meanwhile, Ombria’s 2,000-square-metre spa will host wellness demonstrations and sensory experiences, introducing visitors to some of the treatments and locally inspired products used within the facility.
Additional activities throughout the evening include live watercolour portrait sessions, fragrance creation workshops, instant photography experiences and a dedicated fan zone showing FIFA World Cup matches.
Tickets for the anniversary event are priced at €85 per person.
