
The Adventure Time franchise is expanding yet again. HBO Max has given a 10-episode straight-to-series order to Adventure Time: Bubblegum and Marceline, a new animated series based on characters from the beloved franchise.
The latest installment hails from Adventure Time: Fionna and Cake and Distant Lands showrunner Adam Muto and Cartoon Network Studios.
The new series revolves around Princess Bubblegum and Marceline the Vampire Queen, who journey across the farthest reaches of Ooo, encountering familiar faces and new dangers.
“We can’t wait to see where Adam’s boundless imagination takes us in this new series,” said Amy Gravitt, EVP, HBO & HBO Max Comedy Programming. “It’s such a joy to go on another ‘Adventure Time’ journey with our friends and partners at Cartoon Network Studios.”

Muto will serve as showrunner and executive producer. Fred Seibert and Register also serve as executive producers. The series is produced in partnership with Cartoon Network Studios.
