The popular Sunset Secrets series is returning to Silves Castle this July, bringing its unique brand of late-evening experiences to one of the Algarve’s most historic landmarks.
Organised by Silves Municipal Council, the event will take place every Thursday from July 2 to July 30, transforming the medieval castle into an open-air venue overlooking the town and surrounding countryside.
This year’s programme opens with Mirage People on July 2, an electronic music duo formed by Luís Caracinha (Alfaro) and Miguel Guerreiro (Echrum), whose performances blend cinematic soundscapes with electronic textures.
The line-up continues throughout the month with performances by Vânia Rodrigues on July 9, the LD Miguel Trio on July 16, British singer-songwriter Daniel Kemish on July 23 and Nanook Plays the Blues, joined by Pedro Gil, on July 30.
Beyond the music, Sunset Secrets has built a reputation for combining culture, gastronomy and relaxation in a unique setting. Visitors will be able to sample local products, including Silves oranges and wines produced in the municipality, while enjoying wellness experiences, dance performances and a fire show.
The event takes place within the walls of the castle, creating a special atmosphere that has turned the series into a summer staple.
Doors open at 6.30pm, with the programme continuing until 11pm. Capacity is limited to 350 people per session.
Tickets cost €10 for the general public and are available through BOL, the Municipal Archaeology Museum and other authorised ticket outlets. Residents of the municipality of Silves benefit from a reduced €5 ticket, available through advance purchase at the museum upon presentation of proof of residence.
Organisers recommend purchasing tickets in advance, as previous editions have frequently sold out before the event date.
