Amazon's flagship Prime Day sale kicked off yesterday, and the laptop deals are in full swing. We're tracking sales from MacBooks and Windows PCs from all the major brands: HP, Lenovo, Acer, Asus, and Dell, and Apple, surfacing the best deals worth your time.

I only highlight laptops I've either tested personally or are familiar with, and only suggest ones I'd buy for myself. All of these devices have hardware released within the last year or so, with most from earlier in 2026. Older machines are still good, of course, but if it's more than a year old, I'll call that out. Apple MacBook Air M1 (13-inch) (Renewed): $519: Want a fantastic deal on a MacBook Air? Renewed models are just as good as new, but significantly discounted. They have to go through a rigorous quality check before Apple allows them to be resold, so don't worry about getting a defective device.

Apple MacBook Air M3 (13-inch) (Renewed): $680: The M3 from 2024 is the mid-point in Apple's catalog: not the oldest Macs out there but not the cutting-edge newest, either. The renewed models are about as good a deal as you can find on a device this competitive.

Apple MacBook Neo: $589: The Neo upended the laptop market for its fantastic bang-for-buck: you've got a snappy, responsive device that's perfect for students and professionals alike, but smart trade-offs (no backlighting on the keyboard, no haptic touchpad) that result in an extremely competitive price point.

Apple iMac Desktop: $1,543 (save $156): The iMac is Apple's complete package: up to 24GB of unified memory, a keyboard, mouse, and gorgeous 24-inch Liquid Retina display all in one box. It's powered by the M4 processor with 10-core CPU for a competent, versatile workstation.

Dell Latitude (14-inch) (Renewed): $269: If you're looking for an affordable laptop for work, it doesn't get much better than this. Dell's 14-inch Latitude 5420 has all the right hardware for everyday tasks, working out of the browser, and multitasking across productivity apps.

Asus Vivobook Go 15.6-inch: $359: This slim and light 15.6-inch has a full selection of ports and fast charging battery.

Lenovo V15: $499 (save $170): Perfect for students and remote workers, this affordable 2026 model has a Full-HD display, a full-sized keyboard, and lots of ports (including an ethernet jack). A steal for this price.

Lenovo Yoga Slim 7x (2024): $1,199 (save $300): I tested the Slim 7x with the Snapdragon X Elite and was blown away by its marathon battery. If you like a thin and light laptop that will last for days on end, this one should be near the top of your list.

Lenovo IdeaPad Slim 3 (2026): $699 (save $300): This IdeaPad from this year is nearly $600 off right now, with 16GB of RAM and an Intel Core i7 processor. It features a full-sized keyboard and lightweight build for a jack-of-all-trades device.

HP Ultrabook (2026): $379 (save $350): This lightweight laptop is perfect for kids, teens, or students with Wi-Fi 6 and 8GB of RAM -- ideal for everyday tasks, email, and staying on top of assignments.
