With midterm elections nearing, the president had been expected to highlight how the measure focuses on Wall Street and affordability

President Donald Trump was expected to celebrate a new housing package with Democratic and Republican lawmakers — especially a provision about banning big investors from owning single-family homes.
Analysts have been predicting that Trump and congressional Republicans would tout the measure as an “affordability win” as November’s midterm elections get closer.
