Four people died in Italy's heat wave

Wednesday.

They were two farmers in the Lodi and Piacenza areas, a homeless

person in Naples, and a man at the cemetery in

Garlasco near Pavia in Lombardy.

Some 17 cities will be on red heat alert Thursday, when even

healthy people are at risk.
