DOHA, June 24. /TASS/. US Secretary of State Marco Rubio believes that the authorities in Tehran should allow inspectors from the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA) to enter Iran "as soon as possible."
Speaking to reporters, he urged the Iranian government to immediately grant IAEA inspectors the right to enter the country. "As soon as possible," Rubio said, when asked when, in Washington's view, the IAEA specialists should arrive in Iran. "The [US] president said that yesterday, they'll be there when they need to get there, but that needs to happen. That's a commitment they [Iran] made, and it's one they need to keep," the foreign minister, who is now touring the Middle East, said.
However, US President Donald Trump not only did not call on Iran to allow the IAEA inspectors to enter the country as soon as possible, but said there was no rush. According to him, the IAEA experts would return to Iran at the appropriate time. According to Washington, this development is part of the memorandum of understanding signed between Iran and the United States.
