Two puppies have been stolen from an animal refuge on Brisbane's north side.
Queensland police said unknown offenders gained entry to the Warra Animal Rehoming Centre on Telegraph Road, Fitzgibbon, at about 11:40pm on Tuesday.
They said the offenders stole two Staffordshire bull terrier puppies named Goose and Kryptos from the refuge, run by the Animal Welfare League Queensland, before leaving the scene.
The Warra Animal Rehoming Centre, which is located on the border of Fitzgibbon and Bracken Ridge, was closed for the day on Wednesday.
Staffordshire bull terriers typically sell for between $2,000 and $5,000 from breeders, according to pet cost calculator PawCost.
Anyone with information that could assist in locating the puppies or offenders is urged to contact police.
