Alex Eala, Venus Williams reach Bad Homburg Open doubles quarterfinals

MANILA, Philippines – Filipino Alexandra Eala and American Venus Williams marched to the doubles quarterfinals after beating American Alexandra Osborne and Australian Catherine Harrison in the first round, 6-3, 6-4, Wednesday night at the Bad Homburg Open in Germany. Eala and Williams, teaming up for the first time, will next face the second-seeded pair of Slovakian Tereza Mihalikova and British Olivia Nicholls.
