
MANILA, Philippines — Former Ateneo de Manila University basketball player Dave Ildefonso and several of the school’s lawyers on Thursday morning appeared before the Philippine National Police-Criminal Investigation and Detection Group (PNP CIDG) which is investigating the death of two ADMU cagers in Aurora earlier this month.

The lawyers arrived at around 8 a.m., followed by Ildefonso around an hour later.

Ildefonso and the lawyers did not gave a statement to the media.

The PNP-CIDG launched its investigation into the incident nearly two weeks ago, later noting that the probe had begun looking into possible cases of homicide or hazing.
The PNP-CIDG previously said that apart from the players and coaches present at the team building activity in a beach resort in Dipaculao, Aurora, it was also summoning former Ateneo players to investigate claims of questionable practices in the past.
Interior and Local Government Secretary Jonvic Remulla earlier said the PNP is set to complete its investigation and submit its findings to the Department of Justice by Friday. /gsg
