The agency described the Arbor Day observance as “more than just a celebration of our trees—it is a collective call to action to protect our environment, restore our watersheds, and combat climate change right here in our communities.”
“Because every seedling we plant today is a legacy of clean air, stable soil, and a healthier ecosystem for the next generation. But the work doesn’t stop here—nurturing them is a year-round commitment!” the DENR emphasized.
Arbor Day is observed nationwide through tree-planting activities and other environmental initiatives.
Its annual observance every June 25 was institutionalized through Proclamation No. 643, signed in 2004.
