
KORONADAL CITY – President Ferdinand Marcos Jr. visited Region 12 or the Soccsksargen region anew on Thursday, swinging over the provinces of Sultan Kudarat and South Cotabato to lead the launch of government projects.
The President first went to Barangay Manili in Lutayan, Sultan Kudarat, to launch the Antong Dam and Irrigation System at around 11:30 a.m.
The Antong Dam, which was rehabilitated at a cost of at least P1 billion, is irrigating up to 3,000 hectares of rice farmland in the neighboring provinces of Sultan Kudarat and South Cotabato.

Marcos then proceeded to Koronadal City, the capital of South Cotabato and seat of government of Region 12, for the “Bawat Bayan Makinabang” activity.
This is the third visit of the country’s chief executive to the region since June 8, when a powerful magnitude 7.8 quake struck off the coast of Maasim, Sarangani.
He first visited General Santos City on June 10 and Glan, Sarangani, on June 15.
