A 33-year-old man was found dead at the apartment of Kannada actress Krishi Thapanda in Bengaluru's RR Nagar on Thursday, triggering a police investigation into the circumstances surrounding the incident.The incident took place at the upscale Elegants Apartment in RR Nagar. According to preliminary information, the deceased, identified as Vaishak, had visited the actress's apartment on Wednesday night. Police suspect that he allegedly died by suicide after hanging himself from a ceiling fan when no one else was present in the flat.Officials said actress Krishi Thapanda was not at home when the incident occurred, as she was away from the apartment.After being alerted, RR Nagar police rushed to the scene, conducted a preliminary inspection, and collected forensic evidence. The body was later shifted to Victoria Hospital for a post-mortem examination. Authorities said the exact cause of death will be confirmed only after the autopsy report is received.
Police Investigating Multiple Angles
Police are examining all possible aspects of the case to determine the events leading up to Vaishak's death.
Investigators are also expected to question the actress and the deceased's family members as part of the ongoing probe.According to reports, Vaishak had a controversial past. He was reportedly involved in a domestic dispute with his wife and had allegedly been staying at or frequently visiting actress Krishi Thapanda's residence following differences with his spouse.Investigators are also looking into his previous criminal record.
Vaishak had earlier been arrested in connection with a case involving alleged death threats issued to businessman Aravind Reddy. A case in that matter had been registered at the HAL Police Station in Bengaluru.
