
TAGBILARAN CITY, Bohol — A motorcycle driver was killed, and 13 others were injured in a tragic three-vehicle collision involving a bus, a tourist van, and a motorcycle in the town of Alicia in Bohol on Thursday morning.
The fatality was identified as Alberto Muring, of Barangay Bulawan, Mabini town.
Initial investigation of Alicia Police Station revealed that a Southern Star Bus driven by Luis Andoy Naquilla, 53, was traveling toward Candijay town when it was suddenly struck by a tourist van driven by Lyl Lepetin, 38, upon reaching an intersection at around 8 a.m.

Police said this caused the bus to veer into the opposite lane, where it struck Muring.
Muring was reportedly sitting on his motorcycle parked along the roadside when the accident occurred. He sustained severe injuries and was declared dead on the spot.
Aside from the fatality, authorities recorded 13 injured individuals, including two passengers of the bus and 11 tourists aboard the van. Van driver Lepetin also sustained injuries.
All injured victims were immediately transported to a nearby hospital for treatment and medical attention.
Police have taken the bus driver into custody while a thorough investigation is underway to determine the circumstances of the accident and establish accountability./coa
