“On the track forecast, Francisco will exit PAR within the next 6 hours,” it added.
Meanwhile, as Francisco currently carries maximum sustained winds of 95 km per hour (kph) and gustiness of up to 115 kph, Pagasa noted that the storm is expected to further weaken to a tropical storm by Friday.
Tropical Storm Gardo
On the other hand, Tropical Storm Gardo (international name: Higos), which recently entered PAR around 3 p.m. on Thursday afternoon was last spotted 1,400 km east of Extreme Northern Luzon.
It currently carries maximum sustained winds of 85 kph and gustiness of up to 105 kph, while moving westward at 45 kph.

Gardo is not expected to directly affect the country’s weather as it is expected to remain far from the Philippine landmass throughout its forecast period.
It is also expected to exit PAR by Friday morning or afternoon.

“Gardo is likely to remain as a Tropical Storm throughout the forecast period, although slight intensification into Severe Tropical Storm is not ruled out,” Pagasa said.
With both weather disturbances far from the Philippine landmass, no tropical cyclone wind signals are currently in effect anywhere in the country. /mr
