Fans of electronic music are in for a nostalgic summer night as internationally acclaimed tribute act Daft Funk Live brings the music of Daft Punk to the Algarve for the first time.
The live audiovisual show will take place at Praia Dourada Beach Club in Armação de Pêra on Saturday, July 18, recreating the sound, spectacle and visual style that made the French electronic duo global icons.
Rather than a traditional DJ set, Daft Funk Live combines live musicians, synthesisers, vocoders and synchronised lighting inspired by Daft Punk’s legendary Alive tours. The two-hour performance celebrates the legacy of Thomas Bangalter and Guy-Manuel de Homem-Christo through faithful recreations of some of their biggest hits.
The setlist will include electronic music favourites such as Around the World, One More Time, Harder, Better, Faster, Stronger and Get Lucky.
The venue opens at 9pm, with the main performance beginning at 10pm. The celebrations will continue after midnight with an after-party hosted by DJ Gil.
Set overlooking the Atlantic Ocean, Praia Dourada Beach Club promises a relaxed beach atmosphere alongside food, cocktails and premium drinks, combining live entertainment with summer dining by the sea.
The event is open to guests aged 12 and over, with tickets priced at €25 and available online.
The concert forms part of Praia Dourada’s summer programme of live entertainment, organised in partnership with Vila Vita Parc. The resort says the series is designed to combine music, culture and hospitality in exclusive seaside settings.
The summer line-up continues on August 22 with a performance by Portuguese DJ and producer Tiago Cruz, founder of the Nómadas Festival. Known for blending Deep House, Afro House and Organic House, Cruz has performed at clubs and festivals in cities including New York, Paris, Madrid, Munich, Miami and Ibiza.
Together, the events reinforce Vila Vita Parc’s growing focus on creating memorable cultural and musical experiences for residents and visitors to the Algarve.
