HAIKOU, June 25. /TASS/. The southern Chinese province of Hainan, serving as an honorary participant at the 4th China International Supply Chain Expo (CISCE), showcased products and innovations from 22 companies, demonstrating the innovative potential of the free trade port, the Hainan Ribao newspaper reported.
The expo is being held in Beijing on June 22-26. It features 676 leading enterprises, specialized innovation companies, and industry organizations from 85 countries and regions worldwide. Over 65% of the participants are Fortune Global 500 companies and industry leaders.
Hainan’s 200-square-meter exhibition space is divided into three thematic zones: "Discover Hainan," "Business in Hainan," and "Invest in Hainan." The booth showcases the province’s key industrial parks, its progress in developing a modern industrial system, and the advantages of its free trade port policy, ahead of the implementation of a free customs clearance regime across the entire island.
Among the exhibitors were the operator of China’s first commercial spaceport, Hainan’s Wenchang Commercial Space Launch Site, which showcased rocket models and souvenirs, as well as companies specializing in crop breeding, biotechnology, marine collagen production, yacht building, and underwater robotics. In particular, an underwater robotic platform with a maximum diving depth of 150 meters was demonstrated.
Separate exhibits at the expo were organized by the Boao Lecheng International Medical Tourism Pilot Zone, the Hainan State Farms Investment Holdings Group Co. Ltd., and a number of other organizations. Their booths focused on developing the healthcare, agriculture, and supply chain services sectors. These exhibits covered a total area of over 400 square meters.
