Bachelor Nation’s Dean Bell Shares How He’s Supporting Wife Caelynn Bell on “Tough” Fertility Journey
Dean Bell will always have extra roses for Caelynn Bell.
Though the Bachelor Nation couple had previously detailed their plans to expand their family, Caelynn shared back in March that they “decided to put things on pause” for now. And as Dean admitted, the road to baby had been an equally “tough” journey for both of them.
“What I have known for a long time—that's not really talked about much—is with pregnancy struggles, it's just as much the guy that is the girl,” Dean told E! News in an exclusive interview. “It's so easy to point the finger at the girl because she's the one that's eventually carrying the baby to term.”
But as the 35-year-old noted, “To get the ball rolling is just as much the guy's responsibility as the girls, and I think it's an overlooked part of that journey itself.”
Pointing to a recent NPR segment highlighting infertility in men being just as common as women, he emphasized, “Yet women get the blame 99 percent of the time.”
And, as they’ve talked about expanding their family, that is a point he’s made sure to come back to.
“For me personally, I know that I'm just as responsible and have just as much pressure,” Dean explained. “And I think that's kind of helped her ease up the negative self-talk and help her lose some stress, too.”
Thankfully, Dean—who recently competed on HGTV’s Bachelor Mansion Takeover—has found that traveling has been a way for Caelynn and himself to reconnect and focus on the positive.

“It has been a great big part of our relationship,” he shared. “I think from the outset of our relationship, we both made it pretty clear that that's something that we wanted to do to build off of.”
And Dean—who met Caelynn on Bachelor in Paradise in 2019 and tied the knot in 2023—is grateful to have partnered with Chevron as their Chevron with Techron gas ensures a clean engine on long road trips across the country, many of which have stuck with the reality star.
“We did a road trip down the Oregon coast that I thought was one of the best trips ever,” he recalled. “And we did L.A. to South Dakota in my van, which is like a 25 hour drive that was really, really cool, too. I got to see Mount Rushmore for the first time, and that was really fun.”
