Internationally renowned Maltese priest, singer-songwriter and author Fr Rob Galea is set to perform a free live concert in Qala, Gozo, on 26th July as part of the 30th anniversary celebrations of Radju Leħen il-Qala.
Known for his inspiring life story, Fr Rob has become a global figure who shares messages of faith, hope and resilience through music. As a teenager, he struggled with rebellion, drug abuse, theft, depression and anxiety before experiencing a profound conversion that transformed his life. Today, he is a Catholic priest whose ministry reaches more than two million people every year, particularly young people.
Now based in Australia, Fr Rob has released 10 albums, won several international music awards and appeared on The X Factor Australia. He has also written official songs for World Youth Day and performed live before crowds of hundreds of thousands around the world, while proudly maintaining his Maltese roots.
Travelling especially from Australia for the occasion, Fr Rob will perform in Gozo exclusively for this event, sharing both his music and personal testimony with audiences in Qala.
The evening will kick off at 8pm with a performance by Gozitan singer Jolene Samhan and her band, before Fr Rob headlines the open-air concert in Qala’s main square. Entry is free.
The concert marks 30 years since the first broadcast of Radju Leħen il-Qala, the first community radio station in Gozo to be granted a permanent broadcasting licence by the Broadcasting Authority.
Organisers are inviting young people, families and anyone interested in hearing Fr Rob’s remarkable journey of transformation to attend the event.
