Will Taylor Frankie Paul's ‘Bachelorette’ Season Ever Air? Disney Exec Says…
Dean Bell is keeping it reel about social media.
The Bachelor Nation star explained why he felt needed to step back from influencer culture and take a different approach to social media following his years on reality television.
"I got into it at a great time," Dean told E! News in an exclusive interview. "Social media is great in so many ways, but it's also not so great in a lot of ways. And when I got into that whole thing, let's say 10 years ago, it was more 'take a picture, post it, don't even think about it, don't worry about it.'"
"But now, a lot of people are consumed by perfectionism and they want to make sure it's as good as it possibly can be," he continued. "I get that. I'm the same way in so many ways, but there are times where I'm scrolling Instagram or TikTok and 30, 45 minutes goes by, and I'm like, ‘What did I just do? I just lost that time doing nothing, and it's kind of gotten away from me.'"
Now, after appearances on The Bachelorette and Bachelor Winter Games and meeting his now-wife Caelynn Bell on Bachelor in Paradise, his life doesn't look the same as it once did. This, Dean says, has made him feel differently about posting.
"Being in nature has helped a lot," he explained. "I plan and hope to get back into posting a lot more, because at the end of the day, it's not important, in the sense where you could just post about your day and not really have to worry about it. A lot of people are kind of stopping to some degree."
"When I'm out climbing a mountain or traveling or something, it's just so natural, like, 'Hey, look at this cool thing!' Or 'Look at this beautiful sunset!'" Dean added. "It's just way easier to do that."

Plus, the 35-year-old—who recently returned to reality TV with Bachelor Mansion Takeover—looks forward to giving his followers a peek at the memories he makes on road trips with his wife. After all, traveling is a "big part" of their relationship, which makes Dean’s new partnership with Chevron a no brainer.
And as Chevron with Techron is helping drivers like Dean and Caelynn—who tied the knot in 2023—fuel up for their adventures this summer by cleaning engine deposits to maximize mileage, Dean is looking back at hitting some of his favorite hidden gems in the U.S.
"We did a road trip down the Oregon coast that I thought was one of the best trips ever," he shared. "And we did L.A. to South Dakota in my van, which is like a 25-hour drive that was really, really cool, too. I got to see Mount Rushmore for the first time, and that was really fun."
As Dean and Caelynn's love story continues, see which other Bachelor Nation romances are still going strong and which came to the end of the road.
