According to the Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration (Pagasa) in its 11 p.m. typhoon bulletin, Francisco was last located 705 kilometers (km) northeast of Itbayat, Batanes outside PAR.

It currently carries maximum sustained winds of 95 km per hour (km/h) and gustiness of up to 115 km/h while moving northward at 20 km/h.

Meanwhile, Tropical Storm Gardos, intensified into a severe tropical storm, and was last spotted 1,275 km east of extreme Northern Luzon.

It currently carries maximum sustained winds of 95 km/h and gustiness of up to 115 km/h, while moving north northwestward at 20 km/h.
However, despite strengthening, Pagasa said Gardo is forecast to remain far from the Philippine landmass throughout its forecast period and is also expected to exit PAR as early as Friday morning or afternoon,
Furthermore, Pagasa also forecasts Gardo to revert into a tropical storm around Friday afternoon or evening—though the possibility of it remaining as a severe tropical storm is not entirely ruled out. /cb
