
MANILA, Philippines – Severe Tropical Storm Gardo (international name Higos) is forecast to weaken and exit the Philippine Area of Responsibility within the day, the weather bureau said on Friday. The Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration (PAGASA) said the cyclone packs maximum sustained winds of 95 km per hour near the center, and gustiness of up to 115 kph.
