MANILA, Philippines — The Department of the Interior and Local Government (DILG) will recommend that a hold departure order (HDO) be issued against resigned Ateneo de Manila University head coach Tab Baldwin, Secretary Jonvic Remulla said Friday.
“We will recommend an HDO,” Remulla said during a press briefing in Quezon City.

Earlier, he announced that the Philippine National Police Criminal Investigation and Detection Group (PNP CIDG) had recommended filing of charges against Baldwin and 10 others for alleged violation of Republic Act No. 11053 or the Anti-Hazing Act.

The recommendation stems from the deaths of Ateneo cagers Rene Baterbonia and Divine Adili during a training activity along the shoreline of Dipaculao, Aurora earlier this month./dp
