MANILA, Philippines — Moderate to heavy rain showers with lightning and strong winds are expected in Metro Manila, and other areas in Luzon within the next two hours on Friday afternoon, the state weather bureau said.

In its thunderstorm advisory issued at 11:22 a.m., the Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical, and Astronomical Services Administration (Pagasa) said that the following areas will experience the said conditions:

Meanwhile, Pagasa said that heavy to intense rain showers with lightning and strong winds are prevailing in Antipolo, Rizal and Guinayangan, Quezon and may persist within two hours and may affect nearby areas.
Pagasa advised the public “to take precautionary measures against the impacts associated with these hazards which include flash floods and landslides.” /gsg
