
Raymond Abela has been elected to Parliament following a casual election held today.
In a statement issued this afternoon, the Electoral Commission confirmed that Abela was duly elected to represent the Third Electoral District, filling the parliamentary seat vacated by Speaker Of The House Carmelo Abela following his resignation in the third district.
The casual election was held on Friday 26th June in accordance with Malta’s electoral process for filling vacant parliamentary seats.
Raymond Abela will now take up the seat in the House of Representatives for the Third Electoral District.
