No phone ban yet: Cebu City eyes metal detectors, student mental health

CEBU CITY, Philippines — Cebu City will not impose a cellphone ban on students for now. Instead, despite growing calls for tighter campus security following the deadly Tacloban school shooting, the city government has opted to install additional metal detectors, strengthen emergency response systems, and seek expert guidance on student mental health.
