30-year-old world number three Paolini's Wimbledon 2026 begins
with 21-year-old American Robin Montgomery, world number 547.
The draw has been made for the women's singles tournament at the
London Grand Slam, which kicks off Monday on the grass courts of
the All England Lawn Tennis Club.
This year's draw offers yet another record-breaking prize pool:
64.2 million pounds (approximately €75.8 million).
Three Italians are competing: Paolini, a 2024 finalist, and
world number 173 Grant, who advanced from qualifying to her
first Major main draw, have been placed in the bottom half of
the draw, headed by Rybakina, while 25-year-old world number 41
Elisabetta Cocciaretto has been placed in the top half of the
draw, headed by 28-year-old world No. 1 Aryna Sabalenka.
Cocciaretto will face China's 24-year-old world number 52 Xinyu
Wang in the first round, and Grant faces Great Britain's
29-year-old world number 59 Katie Boulter.
