MOSCOW, June 26. /TASS/. Ukrainian forces have attempted to target civilians with FPV drones during their evacuation from the village of Konstantinovka in the DPR, in an apparent effort to prevent the civilians from disclosing the location of Ukrainian positions. This information is supported by footage provided by the Russian Ministry of Defense.
In the video, the deputy commander of the assault detachment of the 10th Tank Regiment of the Battle Group South (call sign Oper) stated that Ukrainian forces tried to eliminate the civilians they intended to evacuate from Kostantinovka.
He explained, "When we evacuate civilians, they (the Ukrainian armed forces - TASS) start hitting them with FPV drones, so to speak, to destroy them, probably to prevent them from revealing their positions. But we all know where they are without such prompts."
The officer also said that his group's servicemen captured and managed to evacuate 10 Ukrainian soldiers from Konstantinovka. The Russian military knows well from experience that the Ukrainian forces try to eliminate their own troops who choose to save their lives and surrender.
The assault unit’s commander added that the Russian forces continue to clear Konstantinovka in small groups, using FPV drones and fiber-optic UAVs to engage targets in hard-to-reach areas. Krasnopol precision-guided munitions are also being used to suppress enemy positions. "We're using Krasnopol, artillery is helping us, but we're still using UAVs in hard-to-reach areas," he explained.
The assault troops use modified TM-62 anti-tank mines to blow up and demolish buildings where the enemy is hiding. "Konstantinovka is a springboard for further offensive operations. We're moving forward, and everything will be fine," the officer emphasized.
