
Philippines, Japan complete 4-year disease surveillance project
MANILA, Philippines – The Philippines has completed a four-year project with Japan to strengthen the country’s health laboratory network, bolstering disease surveillance and speeding up the detection of infectious diseases. In a statement, the Japan International Cooperation Agency (Jica) said it concluded the project with the Department of Health (DOH) during a closing ceremony on June 23.
