Vale do Lobo has unveiled its summer programme, offering a diverse calendar of experiences for all generations, combining live music, sporting activities, children’s entertainment and some of Portugal’s most cherished traditions.
Among the highlights is the inaugural Vale do Lobo Arraial, taking place at the Tennis Academy on Saturday, July 11 and promising a memorable evening of traditional Portuguese food, entertainment and community spirit.
Throughout the season, the Praça once again becomes one of the resort’s main social hubs, hosting daily live music performances, artisan markets and a wide range of activities for children.
Residents and visitors can enjoy performances by bands including Just Gold, TVN Band, Volta e Meia Trio and 2 Soul Trio, while younger guests can make the most of a vintage carousel, inflatable castle, creative workshops and the company of the resort’s mascot, Lobito.
Sport also features prominently in this summer’s programme, with a range of activities designed for younger participants.
The Tennis Academy offers its dynamic Junior Tennis Coaching Programme, based on weekly assessments to ensure each participant joins the most suitable group and progresses from fundamental skills to tactical development.
Meanwhile, the Summer Junior Golf Academy provides themed weekly programmes throughout July and August, giving young golfers the opportunity to refine their technique under the guidance of the academy’s professionals.
Portuguese street party in a unique setting
One of the season’s most anticipated events is the first edition of the Vale do Lobo Arraial on July 11. Inspired by Portugal’s traditional summer festivities, the event has been designed to offer an authentic celebration of local culture, gastronomy and entertainment for the whole family.
Priced at €65 per adult, guests will enjoy a complete experience including a traditional Portuguese dinner featuring grilled sardines, grilled meats, salads and buffet selections, together with two included beverages.
The festive atmosphere will be enhanced by traditional Portuguese music, an artisan market, spit-roasted pork, churros, popcorn, candy floss and ice cream.
The evening will also feature a performance by the Almancil Popular Marches, one of the most emblematic moments of the celebration, alongside a variety of family-friendly activities including inflatables and dedicated entertainment for children.
“Queen Sensation” and “Disco Inferno”
Adding an international dimension to the programme, Vale do Lobo’s golf course will once again provide a spectacular natural amphitheatre for two major outdoor productions.
On Saturday, July 18, “Queen Sensation” brings the legendary energy of Freddie Mercury to life through the acclaimed performance of Ivan Ristanovic.
Later in the season, on August 22, “Disco Inferno” transports audiences back to the golden age of disco with an immersive show inspired by the iconic Studio 54, featuring music, choreography and costumes synonymous with the era.
